Heritage Hub Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Our position
Heritage Hub exists so that families can hold their history and their affection for each other in one private place. Children appear throughout that history, as they should. That makes protecting them a first-order responsibility, not a compliance exercise.
Heritage Hub has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. There is no context, no claim of artistic or historical purpose, and no family relationship that makes such material acceptable on our service.
What is prohibited
The following are prohibited on Heritage Hub without exception:
- child sexual abuse material, in any form, including images, video, audio, text, drawings and generated material
- any content that sexualises a minor, including content that is not itself explicit but presents a child in a sexualised way
- grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to establish contact with a minor for sexual purposes
- sextortion, or threatening to publish intimate material of a minor
- trafficking of minors, or facilitating it
- promoting, normalising or seeking such material or conduct
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities and to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children where applicable, and we preserve evidence as required by law. We do this without waiting to be asked, and we do not notify the account holder first.
How Heritage Hub is designed to reduce risk
Heritage Hub is not an open social network, and several design choices limit the risk to children.
- Accounts are for adults, and for 15 to 17-year-olds only with a parent's consent. Account holders must be 18 or over, or aged 15 to 17 with the consent of one of their parents on their family tree, given in the app; the parent can withdraw it at any time, which closes the account. Children under 15 do not have logins.
- The network is closed. There is no public feed, no discovery of strangers, no open search of members, and no direct messaging between people who are not connected inside a family space.
- Joining is by invitation. A person joins a family space only when an existing member invites them.
- Trees connect only by mutual consent. Two family trees are linked only when both sides explicitly agree. We never connect families automatically.
- No advertising, no profiling. We do not run behavioural advertising and we do not permit targeted advertising to anyone under 18.
- Children's profiles are not discoverable outside the family spaces they belong to.
Reporting
Any member can report content or another member from inside Heritage Hub. The report control is available on every item of content and on every member profile.
You can also report directly to us at childsafety@heritagehub.app. You do not need a Heritage Hub account to use that address.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How we respond
- We acknowledge every report immediately in the app or by email.
- We review reports of child safety concerns as our highest priority, ahead of all other reports, and aim to complete an initial review within 24 hours.
- Content that breaches these standards is removed on identification.
- Accounts responsible are suspended immediately and terminated on confirmation.
- We preserve the relevant records and report to the appropriate authorities.
- We tell the reporter that action has been taken, without disclosing details about the other person.
An account terminated for child safety reasons is not eligible for reinstatement.

Compliance
These standards are published in accordance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy for Social and Dating apps, and they reflect our obligations under Singapore law, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, and the laws of the other countries where Heritage Hub is available.
We review these standards at least annually and whenever we release a feature that changes how children's information is handled.
